I’m not one to complain, however, I’m going to take this opportunity to do so…

I’m done moving and so it begins.  I’ve lived with Roommates before, Leigh and Jackie, Dustin and Chasity, James and Terry.  I know how to live with people – I simply stay in my room…  I’m second guessing stating my thoughts… but I will.  Living with my grandmother is so not like the typical roommate situation.

I will be kissing my social life good bye, not that I have much of a social life or anything…

So, my grandmother has cooked in professional kitchens her entire life.  I’ve been in a kitchen since I could walk and have learned everything I know from her.  I’m so thankful for all I’ve learned from her – one would think that I would do everything just the way she wants it done – simply due to the fact that she has taught me everything I know, when it comes to cooking… all my quirks – they are her.   I was wrong when assuming it would not be an issue when it came to cooking dinner….I was sooooo wrong. I didn’t do anything proper… I used to much soap when I did the dishes, I didn’t clean the pan good enough, I didn’t put the food on the proper shelf, I didn’t do a lot of things I should have…

One thing I can’t handle – People standing over me… Give me my space and I will give you yours… Leave me alone and I will leave you alone…  It almost seems like she wants to figure out what I’m doing before I do it… Let me start out by saying, I know where everything is in her house, yet when I open a cabinet she asks me what I’m looking for.  I want to say “I know what I’m looking for and I know how to find it” I would never say that… I just let her bitch at me for looking in the cabinet like a “lost child” her words…

I’m trying so hard to keep a categorized “Do’s and Don’t” list.

Don’t

  1. Don’t look in the cabinets for too long
  2. Don’t stand there with the fridge open
  3. Don’t leave the coffee pot plugged in when I leave for work
  4. Don’t forget to water before you go to work in the morning
  5. Don’t leave your monitor on with a naughty screensaver (never thought to change it)
  6. Don’t talk to the neighbors

Let see Do’s

  1. Do, sit at the coffee table for hours and listen to stories you’ve heard a million times and act like you don’t know the story
  2. Do leave the cold coffee in the pot so she can drink it throughout the day
  3. Do all the laundry before she knows it needs to be done
  4. Dust everything
  5. Cook dinner while being told you’re doing it all wrong – and smile :)
  6. Take your shoes off before hitting the carpet, but not if you don’t have socks on
  7. Check the mail

I’m sure this will cause me to run a lot more from now on…

I did commit to Ragnar super excited about that!

OK – I’m done complaining and feel so much better… I lack the ability to complain to real people because I don’t like to share my frustrations with others…

Stephanie cam over tonight – I love my sis!!
